Appeals Policy

Last updated: 2 October 2026 · How to challenge a moderation decision

If we removed your content, restricted your account or took another moderation action and you think we got it wrong, you can ask us to look again.

1. How to appeal

Email support@hectictv.co.uk with the subject “Appeal”, from the email address on your account. Include your username, a link to the content or a description of the action taken, any reference given in our notice, and why you believe the decision was wrong. Creators with access to Creator Studio may also be able to appeal there.

2. What happens

  • A moderator who was not involved in the original decision reviews your appeal where practicable.
  • We aim to review appeals within 48 hours of receiving them; complex cases may take longer, and we will tell you if so.
  • You will receive a decision with a short reason. If we got it wrong we will restore the content or account.
  • Once an appeal is decided we will reopen it only if you provide significant new information.

3. Copyright claims

If content was removed after a copyright notice, use the counter-notification process on our Copyright & DMCA page instead.

4. Complaints and other routes

If you are unhappy with how your appeal was handled you can complain by emailing support@hectictv.co.uk with the subject “Complaint”; see Safety & Reporting. Appealing does not affect your legal rights, including your right to go to court. Where a decision involved personal data you can also contact the ICO (see our Privacy Policy).
